Who are you academically?  (List 3 facts)

  •  I am a sophomore at Saint Xavier University. I am a prepared and academically responsible student. I am also a member of Hosa, an organization that advocates for the future medical profession, which I am highly interested in.

What is your major? Why? 

  • My major is Nursing, I am attending Saint Xavier University to get a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. I want to be a Nurse because I want to be there for people in their most vulnerable state when they need help i can assist them so they can have a better understanding of what going on nursing is just about helping it is about offering  compassion, strength to other when they feel like they don't have it so being a source of healing is why I want to be a nurse the most.

Why did you sign up for this course?  

  • I chose this course because it required me to take an art course but also i really enjoy painting. It is unique to understand how someone's emotions and feeling can be transcribed into physical/visual components.

What is your experience with art? 

  • My experience with art has been good. I took it in high school, but it mostly involved abstract art, creating things that were unique to me, so I never really had an issue with it. I did more sculptures and hands-on art, so I have experience with that and a little photography.

What is your experience with paintings? What is your favorite painting/artwork and why? 

  • My experience with painting is more about the interpretation and why the artist created it in response to making it. I always had complex feelings about painting because I wanted to understand where the artist's idea process came from. My favorite painting is Odalisque by Fredric Leighton.


What is your experience with documentary films?

  • I had experience with documentary films. I only needed to watch documentary films unless it was about health issues or films about war or political issues but it was never a negative issue about it .
